Welcome to the blog that was never meant to be. I originally journaled my experiences throughout Ukraine with the intention of compiling them into a book—snippets and excerpts tucked neatly alongside a future photo album. But as this website gained unexpected momentum, it felt almost selfish to keep these raw stories locked away any longer. These words, and the truths they hold, deserve to be read now, while the echoes of war still thunder in our ears.

So, I’ve decided to make them public—imperfect, unpolished, and still stained with the dust of destroyed cities. Eventually, the full manuscript will be cleaned up and copy edited for print. Yet, if just one mind is persuaded—if one heart is moved to stand with Ukraine—then this early release is worth every unfinished sentence.

Here we are, with battered pages turned digital, a testament to both resilience and heartbreak. Let the reading begin. And, more importantly, let compassion follow.
